"The Money Changer"

"The Money Changer" this 1/9 scale bust is base on the painting by Matthias Stom it was painted between 1630 and 1635. The painting is currently on display in the Rijks Museum, Amsterdam Netherlands. Stom left the Netherlands early on for Italy where he was strongly influenced by Caravaggism. This painting was his most spirited and colorful work. Christ storms into the temple startling the moneychanger. The bust depicts the most colorful subject in the painting.
